How To Use ALT Attribute For Images In Blogger ? Image Optimization

Image optimization is key to on page optimization. Google search engine bot can't read images unless you add some alt text or description to your image. Proper name to image, adding alt title, alt text and captions are some useful strategies through which you can improve your traffic. Blog posts with no images are the most boring stuff on internet. There is very limited possibility that someone completely read that type of blog posts. Images basically add visual effects to blog posts and also it attracts reader attention. Most of the peoples used Google image search for finding their quires. They search images for their wallpapers, social media updates, blog posts and education. If you properly tag your image it is possible that they will find your image and visit your blog. Don't try to add irrelevant tags to your image. Also keep keywords use limited while describing an image.
Previously bloggers manually add alt text to their images. It was very difficult and need to set up custom HTML code. Now blogger team has added this feature in post editor. You can now easily add title text, alt text and image caption to any of your image. Let's see how to do this.

Go to post editor and upload any image. Click on that image and select properties. See below image for more clear view.

Adding Title Text For Images

When you select properties new pop up box will open asking you to enter Title text and alt text. Enter the title text that best matches your image. This Title text will be displayed on mouse hover. This basically defines the image. It tells what author what to convey to their readers.

Adding Alt Text For Images

The second blank is for alt text. See the above image. You will get some idea how your alt text must be written. Tip on writing alt text: Keep words limited. Not more than 3 or 4 words. Add - or + sign between words. Use keywords but that must be relevant to image. 

This alt text is not displayed. It is basically used by image search engines like Google, yahoo and bing. They arrange their data according to these stuffs. 

Some Other Things To Remember

There are some other things that you must know for best image optimization. I have explained them in my previous articles but for your convenience i am giving short description here. 

Image Size: Keep image size low. Use Adobe Photoshop for this purpose. Compress your image before uploading to post editor using online image compression tools.

Image name: Image name is another very important wat to drive more traffic. When you save your image, give it proper name related to your blog post. Don't just leave it 'untitled' for don't give any numeric value. Give it proper name with at-least 3 or 4 words.

August 2012 Google Page Rank Update!

Google PageRank August 2012 rolled out today. Previously it was updates on 3rd of May. So we can say that after three month Google has updated it's PageRank for various webpages. I am very happy because i got PageRank 2 and previously it was 1. I am hoping to get more in next update. It's all depends on the hard-work and proper blog maintenance. This update bring some amazing results. It rank down blogger from PageRank 9 to 8. There are also some sites who previously have good PageRank but now dropped 1 or two times. Add SEO Friendly Custom Permalink For Blogger Posts

Recently Google introduced a new feature in blog posts. You can now add custom links for your posts. This is very great feature. This will help blogger for better SEO. Also previously we face problems with more than 39 words long URL's. Now you can add as many words you required. There are some restrictions also. I will tell you in detail how to use this feature. This feature was previously available on wordpress.

Adding Custom Permalink for Bloggers Posts

1. Go to your Blogger account. Create new post and you will see on one side a permalink option is present.

2. Click on that and click on Custom URL.

3. Enter best relevant and short URL for your new post. It must resemble or according to with your Post title.

4. Currently, the characters that are allowed in a custom URL are limited to: a-z(small a to z), A-Z(Capital A to Z), 0-1(Numbers 0 to 1).
Underscore, dash, and period are the only special characters available.

6. You can add as many word as you can. This will effect your SEO ranking. Keep that URL small.

Note: Empty spaces are not allowed. For empty spaces use any of three symbols described above.

Today i will tell you how to become a successful and professional blogger. There are some rules and some traditions that you need to follow to become a successful or professional blogger. First of all you need to follow me above rule, other things come after this.

1. Know Your Readers

You first need to know will be your readers, You must know from where your visitors will come and what will be there interests.

2. Pick up Good Title for each Post

Each post you write must have unique title and must be selected after using google keyword tool. Your post title must not exceed more than 70 word. Give a better font and size to your title so that it must not be difficult to read. Don't use any such type of template that makes your readers difficult to read your heading. Use tags for your title posts.

3. Write Quality Contents

 Write quality contents for your blog. Don't copy paste anything from web. If you need help about your topic, read some articles from web and explain them in your own way. Write in simple English, don't use any type of confused or difficult English. Write minimum of 500 and maximum of 1500 words article. Never exceed above that because visitors when see very huge post they just left that page. Keep in mind these things while writing on any topic. Below 500 or 600 words posts, you don't get better results from search engines. Use Words and Characters Counter tool to Calculate words. Don't show your readers that you are following someone. They will leave you and will follow that person whom you are following.

4. Encourage Comments from Visitors

Encourage comments on your blog even if the visitors are spamming. Don't delete their comments. If number of comments increase too much just close that post for further comments. The readers how are really interested in your blog often don't comment. They just read the information and go away. In one research it is concluded that from 10.000 visitors you will get, only 0.1-1 % get subscribed to your feeds or share your post on any social media. Make all comments links nofollow so that your google page rank may not effected. 

 5. Use Quotation in your posts
